Yesterday I woke up early to go shopping for Black Friday sales. I was expecting long lines, crammed malls, and crazy deals, but to my surprise, it was lower key than years past. I knew the recession would have an affect on shopping, but I didn't think many could pass up the biggest shopping day of the year. I had expected killer sales, but no such luck. Most stores only had 20-40% off deals. I still had fun and got a lot of Christmas shopping done. I was able to spend every penny wisely, and still had a little money left for myself. I'll be posting pictures soon!

The Hunt: Knee-high Boots
Out with the old, and in with the new. It's about the time now when winter's slowly rolling in and my boots from last year are past their prime. I need to find some comfy, warm boots, but a pair that's still trendy and versatile. And the most important part...that they aren't real expensive.
I've been thinking of some boots from Victoria's Secret because I have a discount and a gift card leftover from my birthday. I really like that they have many different brands and stay relatively cheap. Here are some I've been thinking of...
The first two are my favorites, but I like the third one becuase they can be both winter and spring boots, while the fourth pair is ultra trendy and very hot this season. Which are your favorites?

A New Love Affair
I've pretty much just realized that Urban Outfitters is my newest favorite store! How have I overlooked the affordable, trendy, and oh-so-chic clothes? I have no idea, but I'm in love! I know, this happens all the time with stores I begin to fancy, but in this case, I think it's going to last. My store crushes may be just as excessive as my celeb crushes (Gerard Butler, James Franco, Johnny Depp, Ryan Reynolds, the list goes on...), but it's always good to have a list of stores that will never fail you when you're in need...something much more complicated when it comes to guys! Also, seeing that shopping within a strict price range will put some limits on my holiday shopping, Urban Outfitters might be my one stop shop for presents for my fashionable girlfriends and sisters, as well as the much needed holiday ensembles for me! So will this be just a short-lived love affair? I think not! I've fallen head-over-heels, and I don't plan on going back anytime soon!
