Daisy Fuentes celebrated 10 years of designing for Kohl's with a getaway inspired collection for Spring/Summer 2014. Because she aims for a more affordable and wearable approach, her collection embodied a wide range of styles within her boho-chic aesthetic. She used bright oranges and reds in conjunction with neutrals and blues. Turbans and head wraps added exoticism. Fuentes really focused on making a woman just as intriguing from behind with intricate cross-back straps and cutouts on the back of shirts. Tropical prints and contrast stripe patterns were perfect for the beach, while the construction of her skirts and pants can take a woman back to an urban environment.
Fuentes created a world within her collection where women can travel freely from the beach to the city. Pantsuits are easy and comfortable for a long flight, while wrap skirts and cropped tops are cool for a day of sunbathing.
