The Osklen SS14 collection was an infusion of bright jewel tones and a dash of minimalism. Inspired by gems, Oskar Metsavaht created angular pieces in reflective fabrics and featured kaleidoscope prints of jewels. His solid two-piece looks were simple, with transparent silk and plastic to embody the clarity of gems.
While Metsavaht's designs were admittedly too literal, they were fun and intriguing. Using just one of his pieces could add playfulness to an outfit, especially his palm tree covered, plastic separates which were my favorites.
