Macramé at Malandrino

Malandrino shied away from the seemingly popular trend of preppy and colorful this spring. Catherine set her collection apart from the neon pops of color and peppy prints of Tommy Hilfiger and Peter Som with a more grunge-chic meets bohemian edge. Along with the mostly black, grey, white, and khaki color palette she incorporated beautiful watercolor-inspired prints in her gowns and harem pants. But the details and draping is what really made her collection special. Leather macramé garnished every look, whether on a neckline or adorning a thigh-high gladiator sandal, giving each a genuine, hand-crafted distinction.
