My Halloween Costume!

     Just wanted to show you my Halloween costume! I was a lion! I used a tutorial by From Head to Toe to do my make-up, teased my hair a bit (it's naturally pretty big so it didn't need much), wore a dress my cousin Maddie lent me, and made a tail out of an orange boa. Pretty simple and fuss-free...I was just determined to be a lion this year because I've wanted to be one since I was little. Maddie dressed up as a Christmas elf...didn't she look cute? I hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween!

PS-I've been super busy and haven't been able to post lately...but keep visiting because I plan on getting better at it! haha I still have a lot of ideas for posts and once I have a little spare time I'll be able to post at least twice a week.

Dior Meets Katy Perry

     Summer is always a fun time to try different make-up looks and I'm a fan of the one seen at Christian Dior for the Spring 2011 show. The candy-colored eye shadows and bright, popping lipstick is totally Katy Perry, and who better to look to for fun make-up inspiration? I also love that they topped off the whole look with vibrant barrel-curls to achieve the complete Katy style!

If I Could Have One Collection As My Fall Wardrobe...

...I would choose Nina Ricci's!

     Fall 2010 was the premiere collection of Peter Copping as an independent designer, and I must say, what a debut! For ten years he assisted Marc Jacobs at Luis Vuitton then joined Nina Ricci last spring when Oliver Theyskens left the label. He seemed to have used the elegance known to LV and reapplied it to his own design style. The bold colors offset by pastels and black were perfectly fit with all the ruffles, flowers, silk, and sweaters. And the fur! He added just the right amount for a luxurious look here and there, but didn't overdo it. If there was one fall runway I could live in, this would be it!
