Whatever fashion magazines, trend reviews, and blogs you read this fall, they all have good things to say about Marc Jacob's dazzling Luis Vuitton Fall 2009 runway. Just about all of the trends for the season (thigh-high boots, decked out necklaces, and bright hues, to name a few) were featured in his collection, but the most stunning piece of all? The towering platform pumps that have become the major "it" shoe of fall. They're made with lace, satin, velvet ribbon, and have a unique hourglass heel. They also come in pink, gold brocade, or black suede. For $1,200, it's not likely I'll be buying them this fall, but who's to say I won't see them on sale in a few months at Gilt Groupe or Rue-La-La?
